Data Quality Assurance Specialist

Objective of the Role

Ensure the quality, integrity, consistency, and reliability of the data used in analytical platforms, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, reports, and Artificial Intelligence solutions.

The role will be responsible for validating the data throughout its lifecycle, identifying deviations, and establishing controls that guarantee reliable information for decision-making and the development of data-driven solutions.

Opportunity available for people from El Salvador.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute data quality tests in data ingestion, transformation, and consumption processes.
• Validate completeness, accuracy, uniqueness, consistency, timeliness, and traceability of data.
• Identify, document, and follow up on quality incidents.
• Define and monitor data quality rules, controls, and metrics.
• Validate ETL/ELT processes, data models, tables, views, files, and dashboards.
• Design test cases and plans, documenting evidence for production releases.
• Automate data validations and tests when possible.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, Business, and Data Governance teams to resolve findings.
• Generate reports on results, risks, and quality trends.
• Ensure compliance with data documentation, security, and governance standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Experience in Data Quality, Data Testing, QA, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or ETL/ELT processes.
• Knowledge of SQL for data querying, analysis, and validation.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
• Experience or familiarity with data visualization and integration tools.
• Knowledge of data platforms in cloud environments.
